We ordered a painting of mile 8 of the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali Coast, which we'd hiked a few days earlier. He can do prints of anything in the store and the prices are reasonable. Shipping is free. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. On non-Fridays, hours are 11-2.
We stopped by thus shop on Hanapepe art night (every Friday). Arius is very charming and contagiously enthusiastic about art, particularly painting with the natural pigment from Kauai's volcanic dirt. He has watercolors and photographs, in addition to the volcanic pieces. He also has a station for visitors to use the volcanic dirt to create their own paintings and is excited to share prints of previous visiting artists' creations. We were finalizing a purchase and he was much more interested in working with the teenager painting with the dirts than taking our money. I mean this as a compliment. It was heartwarming.
Never open. Sign on building says open from 11 to 2 but he never showed up. Drove 60 miles two different days to visit.
